Global Group Tour Programme Manager
The role:
As Global Group Tour Programme Manager, you will lead the strategy, development and performance of our small group tours across Japan, South Korea and future destinations. You’ll own the commercial success of the programme – shaping itineraries, pricing, and departure strategies to drive growth, customer satisfaction, and repeat business.
Working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations and external partners, you’ll act as the internal voice of our group tours, ensuring they are distinctive, scalable and aligned with our cultural adventure ethos.
This is a highly visible role with real influence – an opportunity to combine commercial thinking, creativity, and deep destination knowledge to deliver exceptional travel experiences.
Key responsibilities:
• Own and deliver the Group Tours strategy, including pricing, scheduling and growth planning
• Develop and refine itineraries across Japan and other destinations, ensuring strong customer appeal and commercial performance
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to drive bookings and optimise performance
• Monitor key performance metrics (sales, occupancy, margins) and take action to improve results
• Conduct competitor analysis and market research to inform strategic decisions
• Oversee annual planning and budgeting for the Group Tours programme
• Drive continuous improvement using customer, sales and tour leader feedback
• Support and enable Sales teams through training, resources and performance insights
• Maintain high standards of product quality, health & safety, and supplier selection
• Manage key external partnerships, including high-value commercial relationships
What we are looking for from you:
Proven experience in group tour operations and itinerary development
Strong knowledge of Japan as a travel destination
Commercially minded, with the ability to analyse data and translate insight into action
Confident communicator, able to build strong relationships across teams and with external partners
Highly organised, able to manage a complex workload and prioritise effectively
Experience working in travel sales, product or operations environments
Comfortable working with data, pricing and margins
It would also be beneficial to have:
Japanese and/or Korean language skills
Advanced Excel or data analysis capability
Experience working with suppliers or in business development
Familiarity with international travel markets
