Global Field Operations Manager
The role:
· The Global Field Operations Manager is accountable for ensuring our people on the ground meet the highest standards. This job is all about delivering excellent, memorable experiences for our clients.
· To deliver great people on the ground for our travelling clients, you will need to effectively manage, support and lead our salaried team as well as a network of freelance guides in Japan and beyond.
Key responsibilities:
· Act as the leader and global representative of the Field Operations function
· Provide management, coaching, training, and support for our global team and partners
· Report regularly on key metrics and provide data on the performance of Field Operations
· Collaborate cross-functionally to provide the capacity and product to drive growth
· Oversee training and quality control to ensure our guides are the best in the business
· Plan and develop annual plans and strategy to deliver the wider business goals
· Coordinate capacity planning and deliver with recruitment as required
· Create business plans and execute based on identified business opportunities
· Communicate across the business about the Field Operations function
· Conduct regular pricing and competitor analysis
· Use data to drive performance
What we are looking for from you:
· Experience managing teams which are geographically dispersed.
· Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of an organization.
· Excellent IT skills, particularly knowledge of MS Office Suite.
· Strong understanding of the tourism industry within Asia.
· Experience leading tours or guiding
· Demonstrated experience in coaching, training, and developing management staff, including performance management
· Proven experience devising and implementing new strategies, processes, resources, materials, and training.
· Highly developed communication skills to understand and resolve complex issues through positive outcomes.
