Product Executive (PR, FAM and Trade Trips)
The role:
As our Fams & Press Trips Product Executive, you’ll play a key role in coordinating, building and delivering highquality Sales FAM trips, press trips and trade fam itineraries across Japan.
You’ll collaborate with Sales, Marketing, PR, Product and our suppliers to create itineraries that showcase the best of Japan and what IJT does, aligning trip content to support our values and strategic and commercial goals and strengthen brand reputation. Every trip you build will reflect InsideJapan’s product strategy and commitment to responsible, sustainable travel.
Day‑to‑day, you’ll be arranging accommodation, experiences, transport and supplier visits; managing bookings; securing discounts through strong supplier relationships; and ensuring all arrangements are confirmed and accurate. You’ll produce final Info Packs, run pre‑departure and post‑trip meetings, and track outputs and feedback.
You’ll also collaborate with PR teams globally on press trip creation, support Trade Managers with trade FAM delivery, and assist the wider Product team with content loading, product maintenance updates and research projects depending on capacity needs.
Key responsibilities:
Build and book high‑quality itineraries in Axum for Sales FAM, press, and trade trips.
Coordinate with internal teams to understand each trip’s objectives and deliver within the agreed budget.
Manage all arrangements including accommodation, transport, experiences, supplier visits, and hotel inspections.
Produce final Info Packs and ensure all documentation is accurate and delivered on time.
Work closely with Sales Leadership, Product team, PR and Trade Managers across the UK, US and Australia.
Schedule and run pre‑departure and post‑trip meetings, gathering feedback and ensuring outputs are achieved.
Support press trip creation and logistics, including preparing sample itineraries and pricing for media.
Assist Product with tasks such as loading content, maintaining product databases, completing research, and updating destination materials.
Leverage supplier relationships to secure discounts, preferential rates, and strong collaboration.
Ensure all trips reflect Inside Travel Group’s sustainability goals and responsible travel principles.
What we are looking for from you:
You’ll be a confident, organised and enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for Japan and an eye for detail. We’re looking for someone who:
Is a fluent/native speaker of Japanese with good written and spoken English skills.
Excels at multitasking, prioritising and managing deadlines.
Has experience building or booking travel itineraries within the tourism industry.
Builds strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
Communicates clearly and professionally.
Understands Japan as a tourist destination.
Enjoys problemsolving and ensuring every detail is right.
Brings a sustainabilityfocused mindset and supports responsible travel.
Desirable skills:
Experience with rate cards and contract terms.
Supplier engagement or business development experience.
Understanding of sustainable tourism.
Knowledge of UK/US/Australia leisure travel markets.
